I'm a full time nature photographer in the Chicago area. My passion is photographing endangered species, but I love photographing all things in nature. My dream is to find a way to use my photography to make the world a better place.

I have founded a not-for-profit called Team Green Environmental Network. Using compelling nature photography and informational graphics Team Green will communicate the important environmental issues of the day and suggest ways for people to contribute to the health of the planet. This year I am working with Plants of Concern as their official photographer. They are helping me find the rare species I am photographing and in return they get educational use of the photos I take of the plants they monitor. You can get more information about them at www.plantsofconcern.org/.

My favorite lenses are the Nikon 300mmF4 and the 105mm Macro. I started using digital cameras in 2006. I use a MacPro with 4-500GB drives and 3GB of ram to handle all the digital files I am generating.

Almost all my shots are taken hand held with available light only. No flash, fill, filters or spray bottles. I like to leave the area as untouched as possible.
