In the project, Image for the Future, six organizations save an important part of the audiovisual heritage of the Netherlands through conservation and digitization. The digitized material will be made available to education and to the public as broadly as possible. By contracting expertise and knowledge and by sharing experience, the foundations assist in the renewal the heritage sector.

Images for the Future is run by the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision (Sound and Vision) www.beeldengeluid.nl, the Netherlands Filmmuseum Foundation (FM) www.filmmuseum.nl, the National Archive (NA) www.nationaalarchief.nl, Centrale Discotheek Rotterdam (CDR) www.muziekweb.nl, the Association of Public Libraries (VOB) www.debibliotheken.nl and the Netherlands Knowledgeland Foundation (KL) www.kennisland.nl.
