My name is Milena Dekic, and I'm a Sydney-based photographer. There are some things about me that you should know:

1. I shoot people...with a Canon.

2. I'm a perfectionist, but I'm also uber impatient. These two things are in constant battle with each other.

3. I love music...and when I say love, I mean LOVE. (Even the "my wife left me, my dog dies and my tractor ain't working" type country music).

4. I almost lock myself out of the house every time I go to leave.

5. I think being a photographer and being a story-teller go hand in hand, and there's nothing I like more than a good story.

6. When I was little and I'd run out of paper to draw on, I'd just draw on myself...something I haven't grown out of.

7. My first "proper" camera was a Nikon F90x that is my second love (my first being Alfred, my piano).

8. I am known to suddenly burst into song.

9. I don't have a favourite colour, a favourite movie, a favourite anything because I think there's just too darn much to choose from and refuse to limit myself.

10. Many a stranger has told me their secrets, apparently I have "one of those faces."
