lapsed gardener & cook, yoga enthusiast, sweet tooth, photography addict, movie fiend, owner of two little dogs called Paloma and Willow, fabulous aunt and dependable friend is how I would describe myself. My name is Louise and after a few years gypsying around the world I currently live, make and play in Melbourne, Australia.

Thinking back, I’ve been surrounded by creativity my whole life. Whether it was watching Mum sew ballet costumes or out in the shed being an apprentice to Dad; there was always a sense of something wonderful being created. When I was little it didn’t even cross my mind to be a princess or a ballerina when I grew up. I don’t know why. Maybe it was because I was too busy indulging a wild imagination while playing outside during a blissful country childhood to even think beyond the nearest barbed wire fence. I do remember though being fascinated by small detail, the unusual and the seemingly impossible. Something I am still enamoured by.

Similarly, I don’t recall a specific moment I started taking an abundance of photos. After studying and working in mostly finance and business circles I sought to reconnect with my suppressed creative side. Pretty much from the time I could afford my own camera, film and processing I’ve been happily volunteering to capture a moment or translate what I see in my mind into a lasting memory for others to share. The camera has rarely left my hand since.
