Norwegian, used to live (and work) in the Netherlands, now retired and have moved home to Norway. Now in Fredrikstad, Gamlebyen (The Old City).

Camera bodies: Canon 7D & 50D with main lenses:
Canon EF-S 10-22mm F/3.5-4.5 USM
Canon EF 24-105mm F/4.0 L USM iS
Canon EF 100-400mm F/4.5-5.6 L USM iS
Canon EF 100mm Macro f/2.8 L USM IS

In addition a couple of prime lenses, Canon 1.8/28mm and 1.8/85mm are used occasionally, the 85mm a bit for portraits.

Lens usage during the about 3 1/2 years since November 2007

The 100mm macro L IS I now (October 2011) had for about one year, something that is reflected in its usage. I am also not very impressed by quality of the EF 28mm f/1.8 lens, and most of the time use the 24-105 mm L IS instead. The EF 85mm f/1.8 however is very good, and the EF 100mm L macro IS is outstanding. An absolutely incredible high quality piece of optics.

The quality of the lenses we use is more important for the end result than the camera bodies, a rather obvious fact it took me some time to realise. At least with camera bodies that are affordable for us mere mortals.
Postprocessing:
One 15-inch MacBook Pro for the road
Desktop: 24-inch 2.8GHz Imac
Software: mainly Adobe Lightroom 3.5 (with DPP thrown in occassionally.

Apart from all the technology fascination above:
Photographing is about emotions, and about catching that rare moment. I may not succeed in that, however: I keep on trying. And I like my shots to be sharp. Maybe I should be less obsessed with that.

Sharpness is a bourgeois concept.
