ICTStudy is an innovative case study which hopes to thoroughly evaluate the effectiveness of both traditional and new media approaches in material dissemination methodology among ATE Centers & Projects nationwide.

The National Center for Information and Communications Technologies (ICT Center) at Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) has been employing a variety of social media tools and platforms, along with more traditional activities, as a material dissemination methodology. In its desire to create a better and more efficient Advanced Technological Education program, The ICT Center wishes to evaluate the effectiveness of both approaches.

The ICT Center at STCC has contracted with Garvey Communication Associates Inc.-an established communications consulting agency which uses both social and traditional media for client projects-to conduct the case study, which will feature surveys, interviews, advanced analysis, and final recommendations for enhancement of social media utilization as a dissemination tool.


With this Flickr page, along with its other social media platforms (see above), ICTStudy will aim to create a dialogue with participants and interested parties, demonstrate the utility of such platforms for the purpose of material dissemination, and to disseminate the best practices discovered during the case study on an ongoing basis.
