The Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston (ICA) strives to share the pleasures of reflection, inspiration, and imagination that contemporary art offers through public access to art, artists, and the creative process.

One of the oldest museums in the United States dedicated solely to contemporary art, the ICA has recently experienced a profound transformation, evolving from a small visual arts organization to a multidisciplinary cultural and civic leader in Boston. In December 2006 we moved to a new waterfront facility designed by NY based Diller Scofidio + Renfro.

    daisyharperlee says:

"The ICA is the ONLY place in Boston to see contemporary art seen in New York, London, and Berlin. And, it's fun and accessible. It's also a great place to eat if you want to feel like you're sitting on the deck of a boat (w/out getting seasick). The architecture is strange on approach, but when you walk inside and around the Harbor side, you discover many different views that you would have never expected. YeYRah, ICA."
