'Ian Humes' photostream

I’ve been interested in photography since school days when I had my first “proper” camera – a Zenit E. A family friend taught me to develop and process B&W and allowed me to use his dark room. I still remember the excitement of seeing my first photograph develop before my eyes.
Down the years I’ve owned a variety of Canon film SLRs. In April 2006 I bought my first digital camera – a Canon 350d which simply opened up a new world and rekindled my interest in photography.
I particularly enjoy landscape photography and making black and white images. I think I have a reasonable eye for composition but I need to slow down and work a location more. Flickr has been a great source of inspiration and ideas for me and I appreciate comments and feedback left by friends, contacts and others who look at my pictures.
