WHO WE ARE

We are a network of independent journalists and public intellectuals determined to create an authoritative point of encounter, information, and debate on the Internet concerning Italy and Italian America .

The project name is i-Italy, with "Italian/American Digital Project" as its subtitle. It will offer instruments for the creation of bilingual experiment in citizen journalism aimed at telling true stories and provoking genuine discussion.

We are here on Flickr with three groups:

Italy in Italy and in the U.S.: CJ and Digital Witness;

Out of our basement: personal and family stories;

Italian ways and lifestyle,

but we are also on

and other social websites.

We have our own community space too, and a free editorial network on the web. The project will be officially launched in New York on October 2nd and we are planning an open contest with a FREE i-Phone as the first prize!

You are all invited to participate with your photos (articles/videos).

• Italian American: immigration and beyond. Let's talk about all social, political and cultural events related to the Italian/American community - yesterday and today.
• Italy ... in Italy and in the U.S.: Italy-related events and "lifestyle"... they're everywhere, just let's find them.


WHOM WE ARE TALKING TO – AND WHO WE HOPE WILL JOIN US

• People of Italian descent living in America
• People with an interest in Italy and Italian lifestyle and culture, whatever their nationality and ancestry.
• Italians living and working in the U.S.
