Who are we is perhaps the single most significant question to be asked, it is both the alpha & omega on the introductory social scale for by being what we have projects and therefore helps others to paint a mental picture of what we are about.
I for this part on the surface am virtually indistinguishable from all others I make no claims to be better, smarter or even different all I hope to achieve while I am here is to experience, learn and hopefully make a difference.
Granted that for every eye there is a different view and every mouth a different taste, but just as there is something that divides us there is also something that unites us too.
If we could learn work around our differences and utilize our common potentials then I think we are ready to move forward but until then we are condemned to relive & remake our past mistakes.

Maybe my work relates to my feelings, hopes, fears and if this is the case then I hope that it helps others to join the dots to theirs and that way even if only for an instant connects us,,,,

"a friend i have never talked to on the phone, a brother, i have yet to meet. a soul in common and eyes wide open. i believe the camera would be in the way otherwise, but for now it is mere poetry and the connect that disconnect seeks.his words(often deleted before sent) are like blankets that constitute the warmth and depth and wisdom of the ocean, his heart as open as the sky. to this rare gem i found as no coincidence, but merely i found by finding myself. and with his help, found more. to say he inspires me feels like i would sputter insult, but the motivation is there. they say the teacher is not one who brings the light, rather, the teacher is one who removes the darkness.love."

    Cameron Adams says:

"Hugh is one of those rare humans whose work engages both subjects and viewers. His photography is but a medium in the advocacy of a larger issue: the plight of those on the margins of society, which he renders in elegant and graceful compositions that belie the pains taken producing them. Eugene Richards' "Dorchester Days" comes to mind. May "Rock Bottom" be so well received."
