Hubble Heritage is a small project dedicated to finding and publicizing the most beautiful and visually appealing images from the Hubble Space Telescope.

The project consists of a team of astronomy professionals based at the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, Maryland working closely with astronomers worldwide to convert Hubble science data into the photographs presented here and elsewhere.

We assemble color (usually) images from Hubble data, and use mainstream digital techniques to bring out the most from the images. We collaborate with astronomers around the world to work with their observations from Hubble and other observatories on the ground and in space.
