I live in San Francisco, work at Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute at UC Berkeley, and I'm a member of Noisebridge. I shoot almost exclusively film, mostly on fully mechanical 35mm cameras like the k1000 and AE-1. I do almost no retouching, and if I do I generally mention it in the description. I've started adding a black border in post because my film scanner automatically crops it out, but in the interest of honesty, I only add the border for images that were framed as-is (i.e. I don't actually crop them in post). I've been getting into experimental mediums and science-related photography a lot lately and have a number of projects based on that which are currently in the works.

I comment occasionally and favorite rarely, but I have discovered a few favorite photographers on flickr, many of whom I don't know in meatspace. I need a regular diet of images which tug a given inexplicable associative string, and I never quite know which one until I find it on flickr or I make it myself. So thanks, guys. For keeping my unconscious happy.
