I once ate a hamburger that had fallen onto the floor of a 'greasy fast food-eat it on the go-quick grill place' across from Yankee Stadium. My wife to this very day still cringes at the memory. But I keep explaining that my rationale for eating that burger (just the meat had fallen to the floor - which I, of course, picked up within 5 seconds - and quickly handed back to my hostess who grabbed the burger and placed it once again on the greasy grill for a quick hot flame disinfection) was that it didn't matter anyway because being in proximity to Yankee Stadium it was sacred ground - even Babe Ruth had very likely picked up a hot dog or two from this very same establishment and walked the very same floor. My wife, a diehard Mets Fan, quickly pointed out that the majority of the fans walking around were all drunk and that over the course of time at least one of them had vomited on that very same spot that my burger had fallen - not to mention that the floor was pretty filthy or that Babe Ruth himself may have puked there. I ate the burger.
