House of Design was born as an idea in December2000. It crystallized and took form as an exclusive studio creating and designing coordinates for home furnishings.

Working from an in-house fabrication unit,it grew steadily to encompass a wide range of quilted bedspreads,cushion covers and table linen in earthy tussores,deep and luxuriant pure silks,durable cottons and polyesters,and the ever romantic silk organza.

It prides itself for it's unique compositions of craftsmanship. Each piece de resistance is individually conceptualized,designed,embellished and fabricated. Inspired from various influences as ancient Chines pottery,artistic legacies of African tribes,exotic Indonesian batiks,colorful Phulkaris of Punjab,to clean geometrics of Raza's paintings,the fabrics are evolved using a wide variety of techniques - intensive appliqué, patchwork,silk thread embroidery,layering,fabric manipulation and close quilting.

It's aim-to make a difference in lifestyle trends by bringing to people it's very special concept of color and design coordinates for beautiful homes - is the forte of this abode and the House of Design team hopes that it's patrons derive as much pleasure in it's product range as they have in it's creation.
