History and Recognitions
Old postcards of Monza dating back to the 1800 show the hotel, named at that time Eden Hotel Savoy, already attended by a distinguished clientele. Today, as you walk through the wood framed glass doors and enter the reception area, you feel you have entered a grand house. The oak panelling, the Persian rugs, the variety of antiques, and the numerous old leather-bound books filling the bookcases immediately give guests a sense of warmth and the exclusive charm of a private residence.

Since the Nardi family (hoteliers of note for three generations with a passion for excellence) took over the management of the hotel, in 1958, they have reached an incredible goal of setting Hotel de la Ville as one of the finest hotels in Italy. In 1995, it became member of "The Charming Hotels of the World", an independent luxury hotel group,then in 2007 it has been selected and affliated to "Small Luxury Hotels in the World"one of the most prestgious hotel chains world wide. In 2000 it was honoured as the "Italian Best Business Hotel", in 2003 the professional guide, Gambero Rosso, assigned the Hotel de la Ville the " Three Golden Key" as one of the eleven best properties in Italy and in November 2007 receved by the group Johansens Condé Nast the award:" the Most Excellent European Hotel for Service".

Hotel de la Ville is superbly located across the beautiful royal park overlooking the majestic neo-classic summer Palace of the Savoy, walking distance from the pedestrian centre of Monza, with its streets lined with elegant boutiques, movie theatres and an atmosphere filled with art and history.

The 69 charming rooms are distributed among the main building (2 junior suite,14 double superior and 37 single) and the new "Deluxe Wing" (2 suites, 2 junior suites and 12 double deluxe), obtained by the renovation of the splendid contiguous building dated end of 1800.
Each room, individually decorated with refined elegance and precious fabrics, feature: air conditioning, remote-control color Tv (Lcd or 42" plasma in the "Deluxe Wing") with cable and international satellite channels, fully stocked mini-bar, in-room safe, speaker telephone, Swisscom Wireless High-speed Internet access, marble bathroom with hairdryer, vanity mirror, and Etro toiletries. Public spaces are filled with a fascinating collection of antiques, silver, crystal and porcelain creating the unique atmosphere of a prestigious boutique hotel.

Adjacent to the Hotel, we have recently restored an outstanding aristocratic house dating from the beginning of the past century. The new dependance has 5 deluxe double rooms 1 junior suite "La Terrazza" and 1 suite "La Veranda". Some of the facilities included are the sophisticated furniture of the rooms and the technological comforts of the color TV Sony 30", the VTR, the Hi-Fi and the LCD TV monitor in the elegant marble bathrooms. Restaurant and Bar
"Derby Grill" is the renowned restaurant which can seat up to 50 people. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it is decorated with elegant period furniture, precious fabrics, and wood panelling, giving the feeling of a private English club. The restaurant is rated one of the best in Italy for its impeccable service and innovative regional cuisine based around the seasons. The wine list is extensive and consists of both Italian and foreign wines.

The "American Bar", next to the restaurant, is very cosy and intimate and is highlighted by a library filled with old volumes of books and precious Chinese porcelain.

Banqueting and Meeting Facilities
Banqueting in the elegant mirrored "The Royal Room", with its sumptuous frescos and curtains, or in the "The Tapestry Room", with its fine tapestries, has always been a memorable experience.
Three smaller rooms "The Crown's Room", "The Qeen's Room" and "The Fresco Room" are suited to different kinds of functions. All the rooms have natural daylight and are adapted to meet most requirements providing the business traveller with technical equipment and wireless high-speed internet access.
Each large meeting room can accommodate up to 200 people theatre style and the three smaller elegant rooms can contain 25 to 40 people.
