I am a chronic crafter and hobbiest. Trained as a musician and educator I now work part-time and live in Pacifica, California with my husband. We are both natives of northern Minnesota and called ourselves Oregonians for a couple of years before moving to the Bay Area. We both work in San Francisco but find our home and distractions of the Pacific coast often more tempting than the city.

I play the cello, violin and piano though recently I have found my crafts more of a distraction and a pleasure then practice.
I have been quilting for two and a half years. As of March 2008 I have over thirty projects completed and am learning new skills all the time and enjoy it all! I discovered felt and discovered in fall of last year how much I love buttons, ribbons and working with felt. I plan to sew more projects in 2008 that are not quilts.

In addition to my crafting I keep a wildflower journal as well as a wildlife/bird journal. I started watching birds in the 4th grade and keeping a bird journal in the 7th grade. I have quite a few logged and my husband doesn't mind the surprising stops along hikes that inevitably occur and even occasionally spots birds for me. He is learning the names of flowers and birds, truly in spite of himself I think. :)

My husband and I travel regularly taking advantage of where we live to explore the United States. We both enjoy cooking and sports. Go Golden State!

Much of our adult life has started and gravitated towards the Pacific Ocean. Maybe strange for a pair from Minnesota but it has been working for us thus far.
