Hi friends,

When you are young you generally have an idea of what you would like to be. All I knew was that I wanted to be creative, to make beautiful things for other people to enjoy. I thought that I would be an artist, and to some degree I have become that person in many ways. I currently practice design at an architectural firm where i was scouted in second year of university for my illustration skills, and have been creating beautiful surroundings for other people for about 7 years now.

Mother nature however has created beautiful things that I can enjoy. Thunderstorms are one of the many events that play out in nature that I find exhilarating. I like to feel over whelmed, insignificant and out of my comfort zone. To just stand there and take in the view of a 50,000ft Cumulonimbus Incus structure and say to your self, "how can we possibly build anything like that in 15 minutes!" Truly, she is the boss and I am in awe of her.

I have been chasing storms ever since I’ve had my licence, so that was about 11 years ago and due to a lack of basic talent in maths I have never become a meteorologist. I leave that to my friends. My way of contributing to the weather community here in Australia is through the eye of my lens. Quite truthfully, only now am I taking this seriously and have invested in some real camera gear that has helped with the results. I progressively strive to explore landscape, urban-scape and seascapes into my images, so that part of my photography grows in strength. I look forward to sharing with you my development as a photographer and I hope you enjoy some of my photos.
