Flickr is a great playground..... Regrettably In order for it to work for me I have to keep it reasonably small. I have pretty well reached the total number of contacts I am able to cope with. Most of the time I use RSS feeds for people whose work I want to watch. Much easier than the contact system I think....

I've also decided I am not going to submit to award groups - I prefer my pages kept clear of group icons. If I find a prominent icon from a group on my stream - I will delete the comment.

Thank you for all the wonderful and extraordinary pix - they are a huge delight.

"Stepping into Caroline's photo stream is like stumbling upon an undiscovered library full of treasures. Here, you will find books from the old world to lose yourself in, horticulture and gardening books are on the next shelf, next to animals and pets books. And when you think you've read them all. ...hidden in the basement, you will discover delightful books of animation and drawings that will evoke memories and chuckles of the childhood you thought you left behind.

I remember when I discovered Caroline, I was smitten firstly by her username and then I became hooked with her stunning unorthodox uploads, and the personal banter she has with her contacts! I started following Caro secretly for weeks before mustering the courage to comment. What triggered it? I think it was Cecil's shadow…..grin!

After almost 1 year of friendship here on Flickr, all I can say is you've given me what I was searching for…friendship and inspiration, and if not for you here on Flickr, Flickering will not be quite the same :) xoxo"

"It's difficult to write a testimonial about Caroline. You should visit her photostream to fully enjoy her art: you'll find a real treasure.
    Caroline is a true artist.
Look at the her album of photographs is always wonderful, because it's like opening a book of fairy tales, entering into an enchanted garden, be captured by a magic lantern. Caroline's art is full of charm and dreams. Literally captivating.
    And she is un'anima bella.
    I love her."

    "Multiplicity.
I've been following Caroline's work since I first joined Flickr almost a year ago and have been fascinated by the variety of her work: a plethora of techniques, moods, colors, textures, subjects, diptychs, triptychs and just plain beautiful creative images.
And not only is she a magician with the camera, she writes truly nice comments - supportive ones, ones that encourage. Ones that make me feel GOOD about MY work. She understands. And she's funny.
What a fine artist is Caroline and what a fine person. I don't have the time to follow many artists and their streams closely, but she is one lady whose work I look forward to examining...... and loving."

""the hills are alive" one of the most imaginative screen names on flickr, it sends you straight into to a world of sight and music, and so does her photo-stream. Caroline is an alchemist, who transforms everyday sights into magical, beautiful, sometimes witty and always highly expressive works of art. She is also a great friend"

"Caroline’s photographic works are like the scent of jasmine or sandalwood - which are said by the great ancient teachers to open the doors between the worlds and let the gods and goddesses through. I never feel that I am simply looking at her photos. I go to them and through them and into a world which always mystifies and delights and usually also leaves me with some delicious questions."

"Caroline has a wonderfully artistic eye for a shot and when that eye happens to be closed, she has the creativity to really make something from almost nothing.

Her enthusiasm for editing with Photoshop is only matched by my own, and she has come a long way since we first 'met' !!

I have known Caroline for quite a while in virtual terms, and I am proud to call her my best digital friend :)"

"You can learn to draw realisticly, that is a skill, you can learn to use a complicated digital camera or a medium format one, travel to exotic locations or zoom deep into the mundane with macros BUT having the ability to 'know' what is a good composition is something you either have or you don't, The hills are alive has this talent, go see for yourself!"
