Kazushime Hikaru AKA Kazu, hails from Sacramento, California, where he was born and raised. His family is of Norwegian, German, and Indian descent with roots in Nishinomiya, Japan, and Tennessee, USA.

What does Kazu do?

He has become known for his otaku shenanigans around the city of Sacramento, and appears at any/all otaku related events in surrounding areas. Kazu is also known for being a Social Media Specialist, and a Blogger who runs “Run Around Kazu” – an otaku related blog that features current news about Japan, Figurines, Convention and Event coverage, Anime, and photo articles from his own events.

Media:

Kazushime Hikaru and Run Around Kazu has began to form a place within media, as he was featured in the joint project between Mirai Inc. CEO, “Danny Choo”, and infamous figurine retailer, “Kotobukiya”, who published the book, “OTACOOL”. He has also appeared in two documentaries related to blogging, featured on the Comcast ON-Demand network, guest posted for Huliq News Network, and writes articles at Figure.fm that are often featured on dannychoo.com, where they are seen by roughly 2 million users a month.

Kazu has also recently launched “Run Around Forums” – a place for members to join and discuss member posted articles, posts from Run Around Kazu, and even make mini-posts from their own site for traffic opportunities. In general, the forum’s main goal is to, “Share what you love”, which is something Kazu hopes people will embrace.

Involvement with Team LoveHate:

Recently connecting with Team LoveHate, Kazu has worked to bring coverage and information about some of the first American Itasha, which has appeared at Sac-Anime (Sacramento’s Anime convention) and numerous car shows around California. Within Team LoveHate, Kazu acts as the Internet PR and WebMaster for the TLH website, alongside covering any events that feature Team LoveHate at Run Around Kazu, and the TLH blog.

Hobbies:

Aside from Kazushime’s social media, blogging, web design, and coverages, he is known for being an extreme otaku, who enjoys most Moe-type Anime, reading Manga, RPG gaming, (notably Atlus, NISA, and Square Enix series), collecting figurines and character goods, as well as listening to J-pop music. He may be known as an extreme otaku, but he also has an indefinitely large passion for Japan, and Japanese pop-culture. If he lived in Japan, you would not only see him visiting Akihabara, (city of games, anime, and electronics), but also Shibuya, (city of music, fashion and style). Another pass-time of his is studying the Japanese language, which he has been practicing for roughly 5 years.

Lastly:

Kazu’s wish is that his work has, “informed and entertained”, and he will continue working hard to bring great content to RAK and the growing RAF community. Keep an eye out for him at conventions and around Sacramento. He hopes you will join him in his run around.
