avovation: building period furniture using 18th century tools, glues, finishes and techniques.

Spend my spare time with photography, fly fishing and fly tying, HO model railroading and railfanning.

Got into photography seriously in Dec. 05 from wanting better shots than I could get with a point and shoot while railfanning.

Began branching off into other types of shooting after discovering a blog by photographer Chris Weeks. His photographs opened up my eyes to a whole other way of shooting. Shortly after an email exchange with Chris, I bought some prime lenses, and began carrying my camera with me everywhere I went.

Now my wife has joined me in this pursuit and life couldn't be better!
