I've been called "Griff" since 3rd grade.
I laugh, I talk, I get a little nerdy and I usually care! That's me...

I have some great friends. I always try to help friends and family..... even strangers. I come from a very large family, 14 kids!! (counting me!)

I don't care for mean, gossiping, thieving or lying people. Life's too short to get caught up in drama! Stay away...

I admire great photography. I also like the snapshots from a persons life. Snapshots says a lot to what people hold near and dear to their hearts.
I started playing around with photography in high school. I'm still practicing and reading about photography. I have a Nikon D90 (DSLR), Nikon 8008S (film) and a Cannon SD880-IS (point-n-shoot). A few different Nikon lenses and flashes. I just upgraded to digital late last year, 2008. I enjoy it! I have a lot of scanning to do pertaining to my old film and slide pics. I bought a Cannon 8800Fscanner late last year. I think it's a great scanner for my needs. The scanner also came bundled with Photoshop Elements, a nice bonus!

Here in the Peoria, Illinois area we are blessed with an actual local camera shop, "Peoria Camera Shop Inc. link. I think they do a great job. They still do film, large format prints, retouching, video transfers, photo-classes, infrared camera rentals, reprints, new equipment sales and much more! Helpful sales people!!
