Hello and welcome

I appreciate flickr because I can get inspiration from photographers from all over the world. I seek to improve my skills by getting feedback from the community, so please share your thoughts regarding a photo of mine by dropping a comment. I particularly invite you to express constructive criticism on my pictures or ideas.

Please don't post any comments with blinking or large pictures to invite me to a group. I appreciate invitations, but such pictures are too distracting to me.

Feel free to add me as a contact or to send me a message. I speak Deutsch (native), Italiano, English, Français, e un poco Español.

I'm interested in every photographic topic, but i particularly like to take pictures of mother earth, be it flora, fauna or landscapes. If a living creature was in focus for a photo, I usually try to identify the main species shown in the photo and tag it with at least genus names and all the higher taxonomic names (only scientific names, whereby for the flora I tried to adopt the classification of the APG II system (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/APG_II_system). This is very useful if someone searches for a certain species or family, for example, and this should also work via “Google image search”.
Example: you could run a search for the family Orchidaceae.
As another example, you can search for the species Aster alpinus, but also for its higher systematic levels, shown here in ascending order:
Asteraceae,
Asterales,
Euasterids II,
Asteridae,
Rosopsida,
Magnoliophyta,
Spermatophyta,
or simply plants
