HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation has been working in Vietnam since 1993. Our current projects focus on:

- Local planning and financing
- Decentralization and Public Administration Reform (PAR)
- Improving service delivery in agriculture and rural development
- Water and sanitation
- Promotion of organic agriculture and fairtrade

A staff of 45 competent and motivated project officers and assistants and 3 international consultants support our local partners in 5 current projects. The main focus of our activities is centered in Cao Bang province where the poverty rate is high, especially in the upland and remote areas.

Together with our local partners, HELVETAS strives to promote sustainable development, which is oriented towards the fulfillment of the needs of disadvantaged people.

Helvetas đă làm việc ở Việt Nam kể từ năm 1993 trong lĩnh vực Nông Nghiệp, rừng và phát triển Nông thôn. Hiện tại, chương tŕnh của chúng tôi tập trung vào Nhà nước, lập kế hoạch phát triển kinh tế xă hội ở địa phương, cải cách hành chính công, nước sạch và vệ sinh, hữu cơ và thương mại công bằng và phát triển chuỗi giá trị. Thúc đẩy b́nh đằng giới và tăng cường sự tham gia của đồng bào dân tộc thiểu số là những ưu tiên chính cho các năm tới. Tại Việt Nam, tổ chức Helvetas Việt Nam có khoảng 50 nhân viên và 3 chuyên gia quốc tế làm việc tại các văn pḥng (Hà Nội, Cao Bằng và TP Hồ Chí Minh). Ngân quỹ hàng năm của riêng Helvetas là khoảng 2 triệu USD.
