A bit about me:

As you can probably tell, I love cats. I've lived with cats since I was 3 years old and can't imagine a home without them. I currently have 3 sharing my life - Jaz, Poppy and Cally. They're all mature ladies, but they don't act their age. They're a constant source of delight and my world would be a colder and emptier place without them.

Actually, I love all animals and the natural world. I live in a village in the south of England, but my absolute favourite place is the Lake District. I've never seen aywhere more beautiful than the Lakes on a crisp autumn day.

I'm strictly an amateur as far as photography is concerned, but it's a real passion. If I had my time over and could have made a living from photography I would have been in heaven. As it is, Flickr has been good to me and I've had a number of photos picked out for anything from a technical book on architecture, to an online map, calendar and greetings card. Sadly, it hasn't made my fortune ... yet! Ever the optimist, I always look forward to whatever the future brings.

My current camera is a Sony A55 DSLR. The lens I use most often is a Carl Zeiss zoom, which I love.

A note about Contacts and Groups:

I'd like to thank everyone who has made me a Contact and thank you too for spending time in my Photostream. I hope you will forgive me for not always reciprocating, but I'm afraid I just don't have time to keep up with everyone properly. If I'm not careful, I could spend my whole life on Flickr! Of course, it works both ways and I quite understand if it happens the other way around.

Thanks, too, for all the invitations to add my photos to different groups. I've had a lot of fun, and have loved reading everyone's comments, but I'm afraid the time has come to claim my life back! I now only belong to a handful of groups, although I still try to accept as many direct invitations as I can. I'm afraid I decline invitations that ask for 5 Comments in return.
