"As a small child, I felt in my heart two contradictory feelings, the horror of life and the ecstasy of life."

Charles Baudelaire

[The Image]

Poor faun about to die,
Reflect me in your eyes
And dance with my memory
Among the eternal shades.

Go tell the pensive dead
Whom my games would have pleased,
That I dream of them beneath the pines
Where small and clear I pass.

Tell them of my brow
Wrapped in woolen strips,
Of my narrow mouth and round fingers
Scented with grass and privets.

Tell them of my airy gestures
Moving like shadows
Rocked in gardens
By countless living leaves.

Tell them how my eyelids
Are often sleepy and slow,
How I dance at night while the wind
Ruffles my trailing dress.

Tell them how I sleep,
Arms folded under my head,
How my flesh is as gold
Around my violet veins.

Tell them how sweet to see
Are my plum-purple hair,
My mirror-like feet,
And my moon-colored eyes,

And tell them how in sultry nights,
Lying at the edge of cool fountains,
I felt desire for their love
And clasped their vain shadows...

    Pagan Moth says:

"IS this really a 'sensible' world?
    or a sensous one?
here are images that filter through the senses
    into frozen time
in the blink of her eye.

    Images that feel
like panels from a graphic novel
    sur-real and gently seductive
    with a poet's grace and a lover's touch

    and an eye
that can launch a thousand ships."

    paul pomeroy [veraguth] says:

"i know nothing about her, really. she could be someone who is frequently seen running for a train -- starbucks coffee in one hand, cellphone in the other ...

but i doubt it. i recognize in her photos the struggle between solitude and loneliness. one enlightens, the other burns with an ice blue fire and some of us are like moths to the flame. there is such beauty there and in her photographs -- beauty you would normally miss were you not living in a quiet place, with wings that are slightly singed and eyes that are wide open."
