I became a photography enthusiast after my first photographic adventure at the age of 10. Armed with a single lens Kodak point and shoot camera, a gift from my uncle, I began taking pictures and never stopped.

Born in Germany, I moved to Burlington, Vermont in 1990. Six years in Burlington and each fall an extraordinary opportunity. The magnificent Vermont foliage provided an amazing environment for landscape and nature photography. In 1996 my job, as an executive in high-tech, brought me to the Bay Area where I currently reside. I quickly fell in love with California’s light, and the incredible variety of photographic opportunities. The pacific coast, wine country, Sierras, high and low dessert, wild flowers and Yosemite make California a photographers dream location.

Five years ago I switched from film to digital. My film SLRs are still used occasionally, but I have come to like the instant feedback, versatility and photo sharing options available with digital photography.
