Within the last few months I a. turned fifty b. moved from Virginia to Maryland and c. discovered flickr. Answer c is keeping me sane these days!

I'm mom to Katie, 14 and Kyle, 18. Katie is with me, Kyle is a freshman at VCU, and I miss him like crazy. Katie and I are having a lot of fun exploring our new home in Baltimore. Hubbie Harvey works very hard to keep me in the lifestyle that I've become accustomed to (and makes me smile every day!)

Quilting has been an obsession for 20 years or so. I started out with a primitive, thimbleberries-esque pallette. Now, I crave bright colors and true whites. Black and whites are good too. I like traditional blocks, modern blocks, I love them all. I'm eager to tackle some of the birds and trees I see popping up. I'm also a collector and user of vintage sheets, and slowly building a stash of "modern" fabrics. Currently too many wips to mention.

A recent obsession: Vintage Pyrex! I tried not to, but they kept falling into my shopping cart. Good thing it's padded!

When not quilting, I love to be outdoors: camping, kayaking, gardening. I love photography and digi scrapping and I like to noodle around in CS4. Reading and writing are also passions. Cooking on a Sunday afternoon, with a glass or two of wine - heaven!

Guilty pleasures: dark chocolate (which is now a health food, thank goodness!), pinot noir (also a health food), Glee, flickr, thrift store shopping, quilt store shopping and orange toe nail polish, to name a few.
