Hello,

thanks for taking a moment to check out my profile! You must have enjoyed one of my photos or have been curious about the items whether flora or fauna, vintage or not, to get a little more info about the eye behind the lens...this makes me happy.

I live in the windy High Desert region of So Cal with my loving and supportive husband and 2 loving felines. My kids are grown & graduated from college.

The empty nest and some unforeseen health challenges have been my crucible of learning more about myself and what's to do with the rest of my life.

When you're busy raising a family you (if you're anything like me) didn't have a lot of time for the aforementioned 'learning' or maybe (like me) you just didn't take it.

Here are some of the things that lure and inspire me to take photos for myself personally, for my online vintage shop (see website address) and for my blog which you can find at www.idigoldstuffothergiltypleasures.blogspot.com .

I love to photograph my flower gardens and my heirloom climbing roses. The beauty and healing one finds in the presence of a garden is endless as it always changes season to season. During my season of illness my garden and 2 cats whom I also love to photograph have been like a soothing balm.

The desert where we live is about 3200 ft. above sea level and we live about as near as one can to the infamous San Andreas fault.

Yearly, the valley floor is dotted with the famous California poppies and numerous other wildflowers. Here when the sun sets, the mountains are purple (you know, purple mountains' majesty) the moon rises are second to none. We are within 90 minutes of ocean views or mountainous snowy peaks. It's super hot in the summer lots of 100+ days and can drop 40 degrees plus in the Fall when the sun goes down. Extreme? yeah. But one gets used to it :)
