Another update -- now people are taking images from flickr and sharing them as myspace backgrounds. I have now decided to make some of my most stolen -- errr, faved, shots private. I am so annoyed at the moment and I hate to do this since it's all about "sharing" but sharing doesn't mean it's free for the taking -- right???

What does @All Rights Reserved mean to you? It's on all of my images, yet as I look around I am finding them in use by others who have not even asked permission. (posted 3-19-09)

Thanks to yet another idiot who decided to take a picture off my stream and add it to his, without acknowledgment that it was my image, I am having to add watermarks and signatures to my shots. I've avoided this as long as I can, but I will slowly be adding these marks to the most often faved images. Contrary to popular believe, flickr IS NOT a free stock photo depository!!! PLEASE respect the copyrights that each artist provides with their images! While we are happy to share our photography and art, it is still OURS, not yours!

I am also going to have to block you if you fave my pics and have no contacts and pictures to share on flickr. Sorry for the inconvenience but this is my stuff and it needs to stay that way.

Sorry to my friends & contacts who have to read through crap now on my profile page as well.

My original profile information is below:

I'm the queen of clutter, and am quite disorganized... which you should see by my gallery sets :) I really need to work on some of them that have changed over the years, but most of the stuff is properly sorted.

Too lazy to break out the tripod, almost all of my shots are handheld. I prefer to shoot what I see and not set up the shot or add special lighting. Available light, although difficult at times, is my favorite shooting condition, regardless of the challenge it presents.

What you'll find here is purely amateur photography, and that's fine with me. Occasionally I get a little artistic but for the most part, these pictures are just my life -- and whatever is going on in it and around me at the time. Yes, I love baseball and take entirely too many pictures of it :) Flowers and cats, too ... yikes, a Flickr nightmare!

My husband and I now reside in Palm Harbor, Florida, after moving here from Huntington Beach, California in September 2005.

    MIKECNY says:

"I love Peggy's photos because two of her favorite topics are also mine: Baseball and Jimmy Buffet! Her ability to capture both is greater than I could ever hope to achieve. More importantly, though, her photos are fun. You can see she truly enjoys life and any photo she posts has the ability to brighten spirits. I'm so glad that I've gotten a chance to consider her a friend."

    Newell the Jewell says:

"I have appreciated Peggy’s photos for sometime now. Be it her frequent travels with her husband to exotic locals; her love of flora and butterflies; Florida Spring training with the Major and Minor League Baseball teams ( sorry darling, I can’t tell the difference :), or her experiments and expertise with the magic circles she creates from her beautiful photos. She’s a rare breed, Peggy. Both an exquisite photographer AND human being. Cheers!"

"Peggy has certainly posted lots of excellent photos to Flickr, and I have posted really great comments on some of her photos, as well as post some to my Favorites. For any groups she does have admin duties in, she is doing an excellent job in those groups, including the Pansies And Violas originally started by steph.A (Stephanie Allison). Peggy has even posted really great comments on my photos. :-)"

    Lynn Morag says:

"Peggy is one of the loveliest, most genuine people I have met on Flickr. She started one of my favourite groups Literary Reference in Pictures which has a harmony and diversity that is quite unique.

Peggy's photographs give us an insight into her world, her delightful pets, her garden, beach and friends. Through pairing with quotes and poetry to make us think, to make us laugh or that leave us moved, her work has an extra dimension makes me look forward to all her new work.

I have particular reason to thank Peggy for her kindness in giving me a Pro account. Flickr has brought all sorts of new people into my life and I am very glad that Peggy is one of them."

"Peggy takes incredible photographs of some of my favorite things (cats, flowers, sealife, bugs, the beach, and Southern California)! Her photos are incredibly colorful and portray a life of sun, sand and fun. I think I want her life! LOL! I love her eye for detail and her compositions are delightful. I can't wait to see what she puts up next!"
