I like that photos help us to see the world: sometimes more dreamily, maybe more closely, ultimately more compassionately. (I guess that's up to us, not the photos. But it's nice to have them.)

I used to live in Malaysia, and now I live in Australia. I write a bit, I teach a little, I watch . . . probably too much. I'm trying to make a thesis on photography and cinema. I'd like to cook kway teow properly. I wish I could get up earlier in the morning. One of the things I like best is the very first crisp breath of vapour in the early winter.
