We like lines.

We make lines because they are truthful. No matter how much they meander, they eventually arrive at a point.

Lines connect or separate. They can be toed or crossed. They cannot be fudged.

Rich writes lots of lines -- sometimes funny, sometimes sad -- and when he makes other people say them while he holds a camera, it's called a movie.

Kathryn draws lots of lines -- sometimes calm, sometimes crazy -- and when she draws them for you, it's called illustration, and when she draws them for herself, it's called art.
