This collage says what I'm all about:

Hi! I'm Sayra......I'm a fiber artist, I love making hats, spinning yarn, and carding batts. I also sew, craft and bake tasty stuff. Ironically I'm a fashion school drop out. I quit a creative school, to be um, well more creative! I live in a colorful tiny cottage in rural North Idaho. It's on a little over half an acre......a good thing otherwise I'd have lots of sheep (then I'd never get anything knitted or sewn!).

I like to share! See my millinery collection for tutorials! I am a self taught milliner. I took one straw blocking class, and the rest is history. I'm fascinated with crafts and textiles. I hoard things like vintage cotton rick rack,fabric and wool. I've tried my hand at various crafts like stained glass, jewelry, to felting with wool. I have a quaint little studio in which I make lots of things. Recently I have slowed down to spend more time with my little family ;)
I hope my photos will share (and hopefully inspire) others to start crafting! Crafting is such a great expression of ones self. Without it I'd probably need therapy. Lately I've been dyeing loads of wool and other fibers, and spinning art yarns on my spinning wheel. It's an interesting change from crafting hats.....can't wait to see where it leads me!
