Situated in the centre of town, Hartlepool College of Further Education serves the post 16 education and training needs of Hartlepool and the community. Working in conjunction with a range of partners, the College aims to achieve this ambition with the intention of helping to support and enhance the economic and social development of the community as a whole. In doing so the College aims to help each individual to achieve their personal ambition.

Hartlepool College of Further Education is in the planning stages of re-developing the whole of its town centre site. The proposed £62 million new build project will provide an iconic campus that will transform the main site and gateway into Hartlepool town centre. The College currently has approximately 8,000 learners following full and part-time courses, studying for academic, vocational and work-based learning qualifications. The new development will not only better serve its existing learners but also improve its capacity to meet increased demand stimulated by the Leitch report.
