  "I first met Harry in 1953 at a reunion of the 149th airborne in Gloustershire. We talked for hours about fly fishing, the relative merits of slippers, and decided that the Jerry weren't so bad once you got to know them, although that Hitler fellow was a Bad Sort.
  
  In 1965, we bumped into each other on Regent Street, and found we were each wearing the other's socks, such was the style of the time.
  
  I next saw Harry in 1973 in a formula one race, where she actually managed to overtake Stirling Moss before retiring on the 34th lap with a sore knee.
  
  Harry died in 1998, at the age of 79, leaving behind her world class collection of arctic shrimp, and a plastic tupperware box full of something green and undiscernable. She is survived by her 27 nephews and flock of Mexican fighting bats."
