I first met the camera when I was very young. However, as I had a tendency to play rough, I was mostly banished from the presence my precious. As I got older and could afford to pay for damages, I was allowed into the seedy world of the photograph.

Having spent a number of years in the illicit embrace of the darkroom, I made my journey into the bright, confusing world of the digital "darkroom" about 8 years ago. With some schooling behind me I moved to the tutelage of some amazing, possibly half-crazed, commercial photographers who are masters of both the darkroom, its bastard digital son, and lighting.

I've now emerged from that studio and their tutelage as a much stronger, wiser, experienced, half-crazed, self motivated photographer with some interesting experiences and a decent enough background in commercial photography that I feel I can be stuck just about anywhere with a camera and emerge with a decent image (although sometimes I've had a bad day and just don't care).
