I have been interested in photography for as long as I can remember. My parents had these huge hardbound coffee table books of old photographs from Life magazine which I loved to read over and over again, admiring the black and white pictures of famous photographers like Alfred Eisenstaedt. My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic, which I received one Christmas, and for several years I was happy taking point and shoot photos..

In 1996, I acquired my first SLR, a Nikon manual focus, through the help of a good friend who convinced me to become more serious in photography and gave me my first lessons.. Since then I haven't stopped taking pictures and my cameras have become my constant companions on all my travels. I am especially interested in nature, landscape and travel photography. I have been shooting mostly with film these past years, both in color as well as in black and white, and just recently decided to give digital a try.

Aside from Eisenstaedt, I also admire the photographs of Ansel Adams.

I think photography is fascinating as it allows us to see the world in different ways and notice little things that we normally take for granted. It also gives us something to always look forward to, as there is always the excitement of seeing how your pictures come out.
