Weaving A New Pattern In Decorative Art

Hannoun Rugs exclusive collection of over 500 meticulously crafted, hand-woven wool rugs are made by the Berber women of the mid and high Atlas Mountains of Morocco. It can be seen in their work how these women have inherited, upheld, and embellished their art form for centuries.

Over the years, the Hannoun’s have cultivated personal relationships with weavers, vendors, brokers, and collectors from many tribes such as: Zemmour (containing tribal symbols), Boujad (artistically powerful colors), Aknif (flat woven rectangular patterns), Taznakht (conversation pieces), and Beni Ouarain (diamond patterned, high pile, natural wool rugs).

These tribes created one-of-a-kind pieces, from 20 to 60 years old, that are functional works of art.Today, they are adaptable to every type of environs.

The Hannoun’s make two buying trips a year keeping their inventory fresh with a variety of sizes and styles that are available to satisfy individual design needs.
