Haitian Children's Home is a three story building located in the heart of downtown Jacmel and has been operating successfully for the past six years. There are currently 20 children living at the orphanage, 11 boys and 9 girls, ranging in age from 8 to 18. Each child's story of how they came to live at the orphanage is heartbreaking; however, stories such as theirs are all too common in Haiti. The goal of the orphanage is to equip the children with the education, skills and spiritual foundation necessary to become Christian leaders in their community.

The Haitian Children’s Home employs 3 full-time nannies, who live at the home with the kids and care for most of their daily needs including preparing their food, washing their clothing, etc. Each child at the Haitian Children’s Home learns the importance of responsibility and discipline by performing household chores, maintaining their grades in school and serving in the community.

Haitian Children’s Home Directors, Danny and Leann Pye, also live on-site and serve as the “father and mother figures” of the home. They are responsible for raising funds for the expenses of the children as well as their family. Additionally, they love and mentor the children on a daily basis, and handle discipline situations. With the careful guidance of Haitian Children’s Home staff and your support, these children are learning of the joy and redeeming love that accompanies a relationship with Jesus.

As a 501(c)3 organization, all support given to the Haitian Children’s Home is tax-deductible. Your gifts will be used to maintain the existing programs at the orphanage. Support in excess of our operating budget will be used towards upgrades to the orphanage and/or towards the purchase of property outside of Jacmel. Since the Haitian Children’s Home is currently operating at its maximum capacity, our vision is to establish room for growth. This will include purchasing land where we can build a building large enough for us to accept other children. It is our desire that the land will allow room for the children to play outside as well as grow their own food and raise animals.
