"Miss hairycaterpillar is perhaps one of those "hidden jewels" you randomly come across one day here on this multi-webbed chaos known as Flickr, and I came across her work a while back, quite baffled, or more "impressed," rather, by her wordplay of brain-slick surfaces where her intimate photographs are the central chronicle to her thoughts, her imagination -- always leaving me like the ribbon on a typewriter.
Each frame of hers packs a super-duper punch, plentiful land, imaginative language, and a personal space that will leave you wanting to know more. At least, that is how I feel. "Raw emotion. That is what hairycaterpillar offers and that is what she delivers. She does it with words and pictures, physical manifestations of the twinning that she wrestles with throughout her life and art.
All of it seems to be at great personal risk. But she takes those risks and makes us feel honored to be watching an artist at work on herself and her craft. I want to see more. I want to read more. I want to know everything you want to give us.
