Having moved from Pakistan in 1980, I have been living in Scotland for the last 29 years- worked at ICI in Dumfries for 2 years after graduating. Then i took over the family business for a few years running 4 MOT stations around Scotland.

I joined Islamic Relief in October 2003, started off fundraising in Scotland and since November 2006 i have been co-ordinating fundraising efforts in whole of the UK.

Throughout the course of my work i have visited Sudan, Niger, Ethiopia, Somaliland, Indonesia, Pakistan, Kashmir, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Gaza, the Occupied Palestinian Territories and Lebanon.

I do play sitar in my free time, at various functions the length and breadth of Scotland.
