It all started back in highschool.

I was always artistically inclined through some way, shape and form. I would draw portraits in homeroom to pass the time, sketch images out of comic books, or look for celebrity images in magazines and draw portraits from that. When someone offered me money to draw something for them, I realized that I could make money doing something I loved to do just for fun.

Pursuing this idea, I initially considered going to school for graphic design because I loved drawing and designing. Anything that could spark my creative side.

But what if it didn't work? What would I do then?

After highschool, I decided that I would pursue art, but that I would first take a major that I could "fall back on" in case my artistic aspirations didn't pan out, and with that I chose biology as an undergraduate major.

It was while I was finishing up my undergraduate studies that I discovered photography. In order to take my mind off the stress of exams and studying, I would take pictures of my campus and put them up into online galleries and blogs. My friends, noticing that I had a talent for composition asked me if I could take pictures of them for a scrapbook they were making.

I decided to take myself seriously for this one occasion and bought my first digital slr. They ended up loving the pictures and encouraged me to keep on going.

I've been hooked ever since.
