Hello, my name is David but prefer to be called Dave. I was born and raised in upstate NY, educated here, been married to a lovely women for 39 years, and have raised 2 children no more then 6 miles from your childhood neighborhood. My wife and I have traveled a little but never left the Continual United States other then family vacations to Canada, a one time Caribbean Cruise, and we have been out west with hopes of return someday. So I guess you can say I’m a hometown guy, but I prefer it that way.

You may be wondering how I became interested in photography. As a young man I loved to take and develop my own black and white photos, which always ends up going to bigger and better things. So it was natural when I marred and the children started coming that I purchased my first high-end 35 mm camera. So for years I loved taking family photos of the kids growing up, and at times I would even try my hand at some still life and even tabletop work. Well with time my interest died off, and sorry to say I set my camera down for quite a few years.

So here I am today a Grandfather of three of the most beautiful grandkids God could have ever granted us. Well you can figure out the rest of this storyright! Out came the cameras again. This time I decided to go digital and bought a Kodak Easy Share DX6340 which I fell in love with it. Everything about digital I loved! Keeping pictures on my computer, the easy of having my pictures printed, and sending pictures to family and friends was one of the best things that ever happen to me.

Well now that I was into digital photograph I started looking around on the web on ways to improve my skills. This is when I came across Flickr. I would sit in front of my computer for hours looking over beautiful pictures and all this brought back memories of when I was shooting film. You know were this is going again, I found my self-owning a new Nikon D40 and by the way I love it also!
