Sustainable sanitation's photostream  

These photos started as a collection of ecosan photos by staff members of GTZ in Germany, with an emphasis on urine diversion dehydration toilets (UDDTs) and reuse. Over time, the collection has been widened to include also other sanitation technologies (such as constructed wetlands, biogas and others) and themes, and the photos are provided now by many different people and organisations.

We now regard this photo collection as a collection of the Sustainable Sanitation Alliance (SuSanA). It is however not possible in flickr to change the login name of an existing account, so the URL for photos in our collection contains the word "gtzecosan", whereas our preferred name would now be "susana_giz" (the name of our company, GTZ, has changed to GIZ on 1 January 2011).

The photos are grouped by country or can be searched via the tags. Use the tag "rating-A" to find photos which are really good.

The photos have been contributed by various people, and all the photographers' names are given with the photos or the respective photo sets.

The photos are all available under Creative Commons Licence and you are free to use them. It is a nice touch (but not compulsory) if you let us know where you have used our photos (by leaving a comment with the flickr photo).
