I spend my time photographing detroit's endlessly fascinating landscapes and people; when not doing that I'm working on film projects in various roles. When not doing either of those two things, I'm thinking about cinema, maps, bicycles, urban planning, industrial history, freeways, infrastructure, the Great Lakes, making sloppy joes, the view of Detroit outside my office window, the entire history of Detroit since 1689, traveling, language, pre-1948 blues, earthquakes, and other strange things.
