"The work of today is the history of tomorrow, and we are its makers." -- Juliette Gordon Low

The Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois Archives is a part of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois Council. The council was created in 2007, and represents all former Girl Scout councils and groups in the area since the first local troops organized in 1913.

The primary aim of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois Archives is to collect, preserve, and present local and national historical Girl Scout materials to girls, alumni, and adults. Materials in the collection represent local and national Girl Scout milestones, local Girl Scout responses to national events, and show Girl Scouts having fun.

The Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois Archives endeavors to support and encourage curiosity in local history, and help patrons gain a greater understanding and appreciation of Girl Scout history.
