Having spent over 15 years as a graphic designer in publishing and higher education communications, I rediscovered my love of image making with a camera in 2007. Since then, I have enjoyed telling stories, evoking ideas, exploring human nature, and discovering the beauty of the world around us through this medium.

I enjoy almost all areas of photography; landscapes, abstract, street-photos, macro, black & white, people, journalistic and some post-processes like HDR. I'm especially drawn to images that convey a feeling or emotion — not just a face with emotion, but the combination of color, shapes, tone, light, gesture, posture and composition that says something. These are the most challenging images to capture well.

As one of my art professors used to often say, "Art is about ideas."
