I believe that 2009 has been the year in which I have found the path I am meant to be on... I believe this is my year for change and what other way for me to document that change then to take photos...

I always think of myself as a bit of a work in progress, always trying to be more creative and improve my artistic side. I don't really consider myself an artist, just a sensitive soul striving to keep my sanity by creating arts and crafts in my spare time.

Another journey I am still travelling on is my goal to be in better health. I believe I was given a new beginning in the quality of my life on August 8th, 2008 (08-08-08) when I went through with my choice to have Roux-en-Y weight loss surgery. I believe that was the first step in my journey to a new, healthier me; it is a challenge I work at daily and hope to continue to be successful at this lifestyle change.

I love to take photos and often have my digital camera with me everywhere I go. I also love to scrapbook but some think my scrapbooking is just my excuse to take more photos. I have taken one or two photography classes over the years, but I am definitely not a professional. I have wanted a digital SLR camera forever... so I am super excited to see what I can do with the new digital SLR Canon camera I bought in the summer of 2008. I also like to travel and write when I have the chance.

I love making new friends and am always looking for inspiration by checking out other photographers :)
