I am a mother and wife as well as a hobby farmer. I am a little bit you, a little bit me, and a little of the person no one ever notices, or everyone notices.
I can design websites, take pictures, change diapers, help birth goat kids.. I can survive Leukemia!
I live on a small farm where I raise two children, goats, llamas, chickens, etc... with my husband. My husband bought me my Nikon D70 in 2004 and I haven't stopped using it. I hope to take classes someday.
In Feburary 2006 I was diagnosed with Leukemia, so I've had a few battles for my life since then. But through it all, my family and I have remained happy and hopeful! I had a Stem Cell transplant in May '06. Its not like an organ transplant, its more like getting blood. The new blood takes over your body, and hopefully replaces all your "bad blood" with new, healthy donor blood. Its an amazing process, but not without some serious risks. But when you have a family, what choice do you have but to go through it all so you can spend just one more day with them. (Personally I plan to make it long enough to see my own grandkids grow up. )
