I live in Jamaica Plain, the bestest neighborhood of Boston, and spend not as much time as I would like poking around in the parks here, especially Ward's Pond and Olmsted Park.

Organization of these photos is extremely half-assed, so you should probably start with my tags. I seem to be particularly into birds and bugs.

I have not yet joined the ranks of the DSLR crowd. Most of these photos were taken with either the wonderful (but bulky) Sony DSC-H1, or the diminutiive Canon SD1000, which I carry everywhere. Previous to May 2006, I used a reliable but cheapish Canon Powershot A60. Pics tagged toycam are shot at 352x288 pix with a "mini spy camera" I got for $10 (including shipping!) on ebay; see here. I've also sometimes used a Canon S200 that I got for $25 on craigslist.

The tag "bostonnaturecenter" refers to the wonderful Mass Audubon center.
