My dad use to call me spitfire.

Papa passed in 2007, but left me a wealth of experience, interests and insatiable curiosity. I got into photography because of him. When I was about 5, I found a broken (126 film) camera in the attic of our house. I asked if I could have it and he said yes. After fixing it myself, he bought me film and I was hooked.

Dad's darkroom became a playground for me and my sister Ingrid as we dabbled in photography throughout our youth.

As luck would have it, I worked for one of the country's first digital photo studios, so I can honestly say I've been in digital since it's inception. But even with that advanced intro, I'm amazed at how easily I fall behind on technology these days.
